After using both tablets for a full week, my honest opinion is that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ earns its higher price tag only if you truly value a larger, more colorful screen and better audio performance. Meanwhile, the standard Tab A9 still shines as a dependable, affordable tablet that delivers solid performance for everyday use.
Design and Display Experience
The Tab A9+ immediately feels more premium with its metal body and 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display, offering sharper details and deeper colors. In comparison, the regular Tab A9’s 10.5-inch LCD display looks fine but lacks that visual pop. During streaming and gaming sessions, the Plus model felt far more immersive. However, the A9’s lighter weight made it easier to carry and use for longer periods.
Performance and Audio Quality
Both tablets share the same Unisoc T618 processor and 7040 mAh battery, giving them almost identical speed and endurance. But when it comes to sound, the A9+ clearly wins with four Dolby Atmos speakers that deliver a rich and powerful audio experience. The A9’s dual speakers sound decent but don’t match the same depth.
Verdict
If you’re after strong performance at a low price, the Galaxy Tab A9 is still a great pick. But if you want a more cinematic viewing and listening experience, the A9+ is definitely worth paying extra for.
